Since the opening of the Suvarnabhumi Airport in late 2006 and continuing improvement in the national highway system, getting to Koh Chang is quicker and easier than ever before. Whether you take your own car, hired limousine, taxi, bus or fly to the nearby city of Trat, it is only a short hop to the peace and tranquillity of Koh Chang, the most convenient tropical island retreat in Thailand. Travel time can also be reduced by using Siam Royal View’s exclusive speedboat service from the mainland directly to the private Siam Royal View KohChang landing pier.
Directions by Private Car
Taking the elevated toll way (the world’s longest bridge), you then travel on highways 3 and 344, bypassing the cities of Chonburi and Chantaburi and head directly to the Koh Chang car ferry terminal. A short ride across the water takes takesyou to Koh Chang, where you are only 1km from the tranquillity of Siam Royal View village. Driving time to the ferry pier from Bangkok is approx. 3.5 hours, from Pattaya approx. 3 hours.

Arrival by Air
There are three connecting 50 minute flights daily via Bangkok Air from Suvarnabhumi airport to Trat airport. After the arrival of every airplane, loads of minibuses are waiting to pick up guests and take them directly to any destination on KohChang for a modest fee, which already includes the ferry ticket.
Arrival with Public Transport
By Bus: From Bangkok, there are hourly buses from Ekamai and Mo Chit bus stations to Trat. From here there are numerous options of mini buses, and taxis to take you to the ferry terminal and onward to Siam Royal View village.
By Hired Vehicle: If you wish to enjoy more privacy and a faster journey, you can hire a taxi, limousine or mini bus to the pier, where you can be picked up by Siam Royal View’s direct speedboat service, or take the regular ferry over to Koh Chang.
