Boat Trips

A wide selection of boat trips to the surrounding islands is available, including day trips with snorkelling option. 2-day trips with overnight stay on one of the numerous islands can be booked. Sunbathing on a secluded beach No problem, Koh Mak und Koh Wai are inviting !

Kajak

Follow the island's seafront on the water, gliding on the water's surface without any distracting noise. The rhythm of your paddle is deciding the time of arrival. Stop at the nicest and most secluded locations wherever and whenever you like.
 

 

Scuba Diving

The diving season in Koh Chang starts in October and ends in May. Most diving venues are not very deep (between 5 and 25 meters) and therefore perfect for beginners. Sight is depending on weather but usually within 7 to 30 meters.

Excellent places for scuba diving in Koh Chang are Hin Luk Bat, Hin Sam Sao, Hin Raap and Koh Rang.

Snorkelling

The best snorkelling season is also between October and May. Koh Chang boasts of countless small bays with perfect depth for snorkelling. Very beautiful are Koh Kra, Koh Kham, Koh Wai and Koh Rang. During high season, various day trips to the best snorkelling venues are available.

 

Windsurfing

Depending on season and wind, windsurfers find the best conditions in Koh Chang. Flat beaches make starting for beginners and re-launching in the water easy.

Kitesurfing

The constant and pleasant sea breeze in Koh Chang is perfect for a first experience in kitesurfing. Flat beaches make a possible re-launching in the water easy.


Wakeboarding

Smooth, clear and well tempered that's how the sea in Koh Chang looks like, perfect conditions for wakeboarding can be found in many bays. If one-eighty, backside-butterslide or even air-raley all is possible !
 

 

Water Falls

The most impressive water fall on Koh Chang island is located at Khlong Plu near Khlong Prao, placed in a very attractive rain forest setting. Have a refreshing bath in the pool of the water fall. There are two more significant water falls in the north and east of the island which represent also an interesting tour destination. Thanks to the rocky mountains and hills Koh Chang has many more smaller but not less beautiful water falls.

Trekking

Explore the untouched flora and fauna by hiking. Breathtaking views and spectacular impressions can be assured. The island's rain forest offers some interesting tours. It is recommended to take a local guide to show you the secrets of Koh Chang.

Elephant Trekking

There are 3 elephant camps on Koh Chang. Two are at Klong Phrao, another is located at a beautiful rain forest valley in the north. Elephant trekking is fun and represents a unique experience. The mahuds will show you how to look after & train these fascinating animals and invite you having a ride on their back.
 

 

Jogging

Jogging on busy roads ? In Koh Chang you can go running along the beaches.

Climbing

Steep coast lines and stony mountains make a wide choice of climbing options available, from low grade to very difficult. If you climb on top of the island's highest mountain you will be rewarded by a sensational view on the gulf of Siam.

Tennis

Various hotels have tennis courts and offer you the opportunity to improve forehand, backhand and smash. Tennis instructors are available but you can also play with your partner.

Motorcycle

Explore Koh Chang by motorcycle. Have a look on the Ko Chang Battleship Wrecks, a memorial built to remind of the Thai victory over the French marine in 1941.

Game Watching

A large number of local animals is living in the island's rain forest. An overview established by Thailand's National Park Service in 1992 shows not less than 29 different mammals on Koh Chang, including species like wild boar, monkeys and deer. Furthermore, Koh Chang is also a paradise for bird watching as it boasts of 74 different bird species. And last but not least 42 amphibians and reptiles such as Malaysian turtles, geckos and various snakes. The Chang frog is only existing on the island and therefore unique.
